We Need Educators To Step Up

Teachers across the nation need to take political action. Their students and they are under attack by political policies specifically designed to disenfranchise them and restrict their civil rights. Fight back; it’s the patriotic thing to do.

Register your students to vote, as a way of enrolling them into the political process. Show them how to organize registrations and direct people to the polls. Give them an opportunity to see their influence in action. Attacks against voter rights, in the form of restricting access to registration and polls, require the strongest answer. Representative democracies dissolve into unstable feudal struggles, when participation in government is manipulated and the spirit of participation is suffocated.
