What Have They Gotten Themselves Into Now?

The President’s ability to compartmentalize Politics, Government, Diplomacy, National Security & Family so gracefully, makes him seem a little like Ozzie Newsome playing Shortstop. Nothing is too hot to handle, and he does it with flare. He is, after 2 years on the job, battle hardened and more than a little intimidating. The GOP are on notice and they are feeling the pressure intensely.

In the never ending contest that has become American politics, it takes an army of Republicans, in a nonstop, 7×24, 3 dimension, hemispherical counterattack, just to deal with this man Barack Obama. They are throwing everything and everyone they can find at him. But, for all their effort, they are not doing well, while the President continues to emerge stronger through it all.

Just when the GOP think-tank feel like they’re making progress, Obama trashes another leg of their poorly constructed platform, leaving them a trapped man’s choice; scramble to prop it up or abandon the sinking rig for the quicksand of political obscurity.  It must be infuriating for the GOP financial backers too; getting nothing but bad press for their investment.

How very true. I think we are bound to see a more humorous side from President Obama a lot more often as the field of contenders expands and contracts. My biggest concern is the Democratic party sitting in their laurels and not planning ahead. We need someone who can meet the benchmark set by President Obama on 2016.
